Seniors need laughter the most! As a child we laughed 400 times a day, by adulthood a mere 15, and as seniors… By the time the average person gets to retirement age, they will have endured and undergone a lifetime of stress. The responsibilities of adulthood, studies, work, marriage, children, and so on have added up and have caused a significant reduction of a person’s child-like spirit. Cell degeneration, illnesses, disease, reduced memory and physical abilities have brought many of our elder population to feel alone and depressed. They may also miss their loved ones who are not around as much due to their own responsibilities. Having Laughter Yoga introduced to them can create a new lease on life, bringing back the feelings of joy they truly need and deserve!
